WHAT IS BUSINESS INTERRUPTION INSURANCE COVERAGE?

OUR ADVICE FOR A SUCCESSFUL CLAIM

  • Do not attempt to open a claim until you speak with our office. It is imperative that if you do have a claim, we send the insurance company the necessary documents with urgency to secure your claim amongst the masses.
  • Late notice could be fatal to your claim. Some laws permit an insurance company to deny coverage if notice is given late. The effect is extreme and many states have softented the impact of such a rule. But, if the problem can be avoided now by early notice, why not do it?
  • Although this situation is fluid, we expect all insurance companies to deny your business interruption claim. The total losses due to the Executive Order closures are going to be so extensive that the insurance company will almost certainly deny your
claim – at least initially. This does not mean you do not have a valid claim. It is important that you continue to preserve your claim even once denied.
  • An attorney can help you go after the claim in every possible angle.
